He has been active as a keyboard player since he was in college and has emerged in the music scene. In 1991, he won the Japan Record Award for "Ai wa Katsu / KAN" (participated in arrangement).
1994 Released his first solo album "THE BORDERLAND" from Toshiba EMI.
In 2000, he formed the piano duo MAOCHICA with pianist Yoshihiro Tomonari to return to his own origin, "I want to create a space where I can know the preciousness of being innocent in sound ...". After that, as MAOCHICA, released 4 albums and 1 best album.
In recent years, he has participated in recordings and concerts by Toshiki Kadomatsu, Miyuki Nakajima, Mariko Takahashi, Ayumi Hamasaki, etc. As a result of a detailed examination in June 2017, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and announced a surgical rest on his blog, but he returned smoothly.
In November 2018, "La strada" was released on each distribution to commemorate the 60th birthday of the two MAOCHICA. In July 2019, the long-awaited solo album "soliloquy" was released for the first time in four and a half centuries.
On October 5th, Toyama FM Broadcasting's first radio program "Shingo Kobayashi's Soliloquy ~ Night Soliloquy ~" will start broadcasting.

The 1990s, when the first solo album was released, was a time when the communication method of mobile phones shifted from analog to digital, and it became a catalyst for widespread use as it is today.
Music is also an era when CDs have become more mainstream than analog records in the general market. The solo album "THE BORDERLAND" released at that time was a work that focused on sound production and arrangement.
A quarter of a century has passed since the last announcement, and now digital distribution of music has become the mainstream, and with the development of technologies such as the Internet, people are listening to music in various situations.
For this "soliloquy", I focused on the keyboardist and tried to create all the parts by myself.
We are pursuing urban sound to match the current diverse music scene. I hope you can listen to it freely in various situations such as drive music, chill-out scenes, and when you think of a movie scene.
